Skadis or Multiboard?

Both hang things on a wall. Skadis is a board you buy from IKEA and dress up. Multiboard is a board you print yourself. Pick by how much wall you need and how heavy the load is.

Skadis pegboard accessories questions

Will these fit my Skadis board?
Yes. Every part on this page is shaped for the long slots on a standard Skadis board. IKEA has kept that slot pattern the same across board sizes, so a part that fits one Skadis board fits the others.
Is this made by IKEA?
No. These are community designs that fit the IKEA SKADIS pegboard. We print them. We are not affiliated with IKEA and IKEA does not make or check these parts.
Will a regular pegboard hook fit a Skadis board?
No. A regular pegboard has round holes about a quarter inch across. Skadis has long slots. The two do not swap, which is why this page only lists parts made for Skadis slots.
How much weight will a printed Skadis hook hold?
We have not load tested these, so we do not publish a weight rating. Treat them the way you would treat the plastic hooks the board came with. Keys, headphones, small tools, cable, light bins. Hang heavy iron somewhere else.
Can I get one in a different color?
Yes. You pick the color when you order and we print it then. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting.
Do I get the files or the printed part?
The printed part. It arrives ready to click into the board. You do not need a printer and you do not need to slice anything.

How do Skadis accessories attach?

Most Skadis parts have one or two hooks on the back. You tilt the part, drop the hooks into a slot, then let it hang straight. Gravity holds it. Nothing screws in and nothing clips shut.

That is why a Skadis wall is easy to change. Lift a part out, move it two slots over, and put it back. You are not drilling anything and you are not filling old holes.

A few parts use a slider instead of a hook, so they move side to side along one slot without coming off. Those are handy for things you shift around a lot, like a bag hanger.

  • Tilt the part so the back hooks line up with a slot.
  • Drop the hooks in and let the part hang.
  • Tug down gently to check it seated.

What is the difference between Skadis and a regular pegboard?

The holes. A hardware store pegboard has round holes about a quarter inch across, spaced an inch apart. Skadis has long vertical slots in a repeating pattern.

That difference decides everything else. Metal pegboard hooks bend into a round hole and hold by friction. Skadis parts hang in a slot and hold by their own weight. Neither one fits the other board.

So if you already own a hardware store pegboard, these parts are not for it. If you own a Skadis, the parts on this page are shaped for exactly your board.

Can you 3D print Skadis accessories?

Yes, and it is one of the most printed things there is. The parts are small, they need no supports if they are drawn well, and the board itself does the hard work of holding them up.

If you own a printer, plenty of Skadis files are free to download. If you do not, or you would rather not spend six hours and a spool finding out a part is the wrong size, we print them and mail them.

We print in the USA and we print after you order, so you pick the color and you are not stuck with whatever a warehouse had left.

Which Skadis accessories are worth starting with?

Start with what is loose on your desk right now. That is usually cable, headphones, glasses, and pens.

A small shelf and a couple of hooks cover most of it. Add a tray for the things that roll. Once the wall is doing real work you will see the gaps yourself, and the board makes filling them easy.
