What it does

  • Replacement shower head designed to fit standard 1/2" threaded pipes
  • Low-turbulence nozzle design creates solid, pressurized water streams
  • Functional household fixture you can print and install at home
  • Thoughtfully engineered tapered holes for optimal water flow
  • Perfect DIY solution for custom bathroom upgrades

The Shower Head MK1 is a functional 3D printed bathroom fixture designed to replace standard shower heads.

Engineered to handle pressurized water, this shower head features carefully designed nozzles with tapered holes that maintain low turbulence and produce solid water streams. Thehole size is calibrated so that after printing, a simple pin or paperclip opens them to the ideal diameter for consistent spray performance.

This first revision represents a practical approach to 3D-printable plumbing fixtures. The updated design includes corrected threading and optimized hole sizing for reliable installation and water flow. For best results, the designer recommends printing at 0.2mm or finer layer height with high infill density to ensure water-tightness.
