Inside a wall cavity or attic space where ductwork meets the outside air, this vent cap sits at the end of your ventilation pipe. It is shaped with a ring of angled fins around the opening and a grid across the middle, made to sit right where your pipe already ends.

The fins angle across the vent opening to break up the straight path that rain would otherwise take into the pipe. The grid beneath them spans the same opening, adding a second layer between the outside air and your ductwork. Air still has room to pass through both layers on its way in or out.

This piece is built for the aspirator vent style pipe cap, one specific shape from a larger design family. It works well for anyone finishing a ventilation run on a remodel or swapping out an old, open pipe end for something with more coverage.
