Get a cap or plug made for your exact opening

An open pipe end, a hole left by a missing part, or a tube that needs a cover. Tell us the opening size and shape, and we plan a cap or plug to close it.

A round cap sitting over the open end of a tube.

Set your sizes

The cap and plug builder is not live yet. Send us your numbers and a person plans the part with you.

What we can make

  • A cap for a tube or pipe end

Set the opening size and how deep the cap should sit.

  • A plug for an odd shaped hole

Give us the width and outline, and we plan a plug to match.

How it works

  1. 1Tell us the sizes listed above.
  2. 2Send your numbers to the Solution Counter.
  3. 3A person looks at what you sent and plans the part.
  4. 4You see a price before anything is printed.

What we need from you

  • The opening shape: round, square, or another outline
  • The opening diameter or width
  • How deep the plug or cap should sit
  • Whether you want a flanged lip, and whether the fit should taper

Materials

Most caps and plugs use PLA, a sturdy everyday plastic. A part outdoors can use PETG instead.

See the full materials page

Measurements and fit

  • Measure straight across the opening with a ruler, through the center.
  • Measure how deep the cap or plug needs to sit inside the opening.
  • We make it to the sizes you give us.

Common questions

What if the hole is not a perfect circle?
Tell us the shape and send a photo. We plan an outline to match.
Does the cap need to hold water out?
Tell us that up front. A tight seal on any part is not something we can promise, but we plan the closest fit we can.
Can I get a flanged cap that sits flush?
Yes. Tell us the flange diameter and thickness you want.
