The xun is an ancient Chinese wind instrument with roots in the bronze and stone ages. This top-blown egg-shaped flute produces warm, resonant tones when played correctly. Like traditional ocarinas and Japanese flutes, the xun requires proper embouchure technique—angle your lips at 45 degrees to the top hole and adjust your mouth shape to find the sweet spot.
