The print direction maximizes strength along the load axis, so the pin holds heavier shelves without flexing. The chamfer fixes the small fillet that 3D printers always leave at right angles, so the pin sits as deep as the original.

Use it for IKEA shelves, similar flat-pack furniture, and any cabinet that uses a small cylindrical pin.
