What it does
- Working chain prints in one piece, no assembly needed
- Edit the OpenSCAD source for custom width and length
- A satisfying desk fidget and engineering demo
- Sparks conversation in classrooms and offices
- A simple gift for makers, students, and engineers
You lift the chain off the print bed and it flexes like a real chain. No glue, no rivets, no assembly. This print-in-place chain works as a satisfying maker demo and a quiet desk fidget at the same time.
The OpenSCAD source lets you customize the chain width, height, and length, so you can scale it from keychain size to a full belt for a maker bench display. Edit a few parameters, slice, print, and the new size is ready.
Use it as a STEM teaching aid, a desk fidget, or a small gift for a maker friend.
1.2k downloads in the maker community. That is interest in the design on the site it came from, not our sales.
What you get
- This design prints as one piece.
- Nothing else to print or buy for this to work.
