On a classroom science table or a kitchen counter, this coupler links two 2-liter PET soda bottles together at their necks. You screw a bottle top onto each side, so you can turn two ordinary bottles into one connected setup for a tornado demo, a simple hourglass, or a funnel.

The coupler is shaped to match the threads found on common 2-liter soda bottle tops. Once both bottles are attached, you can flip the pair to watch water spin into a vortex, time sand or liquid as it drains, or move liquid from one bottle into another.
