What it does

  • Raises the ball 2mm higher so your arm bends tighter without the ball popping out
  • Wraps the socket 1mm deeper around the ball so it stays put when you move fast
  • Works with PLA and PETG so you can print it at home on any standard printer
  • Keeps the same ball size so all your original accessories still fit perfectly
  • Lasts much longer than heat shrink versions so you spend less time fixing it

You want your PCB workstation arms to hold tight and bend smoothly without constant adjustments. This improved ball and socket joint fixes the weak spots in the original design so your arms stay where you position them.

The ball sits 2mm higher in the socket, which means tighter bends and way less popping out. The socket wraps almost an extra millimeter around the ball, so it grips better and the whole arm feels stiffer. No heat shrink that breaks down. No balls that slip loose mid-project. Just solid, reliable joints that work right from the start.

Print it on your home printer with PLA or PETG. The ball size stays exactly the same, so every accessory from the original PCB workstation fits without changes.

What it is made of

Printed plastic is strong for its size, but it is not metal. We have not load tested this design, so we do not publish a weight rating. Keep it out of a hot car and away from open flame.
