The Grab Toy ++ is an articulated, print-in-place grabber toy with ingeniously designed hinges that print without supports or assembly. This extensible toy features modular segments you can combine to create grabbers of different sizes and configurations, perfect for play or as an interactive desk toy.
Unlike traditional snap-together designs, the Grab Toy ++ uses carefully engineered hinge spacing and reinforcement patterns that work seamlessly with standard slicing software. The design includes a test model to dial in your ideal hinge clearance, ensuring smooth movement and durability across different printer settings and materials.
Created with OpenSCAD, this toy offers fine-tuned control over structural details, optional reinforcement at the hinge core and shoulders prevents fusion and strengthens critical articulation points.
