Centering jigs come in many shapes. This one is built to guide a pencil straight toward the middle of any round object. Set it against a cylinder, tin, or disc, trace a couple of lines toward the center, and see where they meet.
The jig has two side edges that rest against the curved surface, plus a guide edge that points your pencil toward the middle. The guide edge sits with a small offset built in, made to account for the width of a pencil tip when you trace your lines.
It works for woodworking layout, shop marking, or any project where you need to find the middle of a round part. Rest the jig against your workpiece, draw your lines, and find your center point without measuring or guessing.
