Why does a walking machine with no motor still look like it moves? The linked legs on Brabeast are shaped to mimic the famous Strandbeest walk, so even standing still, you can see how the motion would happen.
This piece is based on Theo Jansen's well-known Strandbeest walking mechanism. The leg links are curved in a rounded, organic way that gives the whole leg section its own soft shape. Each link connects to the next, building out the same kind of chain you would find in the original walking design.
