What it does

You work with fragile flat materials. PCB boards, glass plates, photo negatives. Your fingers leave marks. Regular tweezers are too narrow or bend under the weight. This tool holds wide, flat things steady and safe so you can focus on your actual work.
These tweezers open much wider than typical designs. The flat profile grabs big boards without slipping. Sharp teeth grip with precision once you file them lightly after printing. The springy joint is tuned for real workshop use: developing photoresist, etching circuits, swapping glass plates under a microscope.
The design starts from OpenSCAD and BOSL2, so you own it. Change the width, thickness, springiness, and tooth geometry to match your exact needs. Print as-is without support material, then sharpen the outer teeth with a file for best results.

Printed plastic is strong for its size, but it is not metal. We have not load tested this design, so we do not publish a weight rating. Keep it out of a hot car and away from open flame.
