How do I check an STL's dimensions?

Quick answer

Checking dimensions in free software

Slicer programs like PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, and Cura show a size panel the moment you load a model, usually in a sidebar next to the object. Free online STL viewers do the same thing in a browser, with no install needed. Any of these tools reads the same triangles our upload tool reads, so the numbers should match once the unit is the same on both sides.

Why the numbers can look wrong
