How do I get a Thangs model printed?
Quick answer
Open the model page on Thangs and use its Download button to get the file yourself. Some models need a free account, and some need a membership. Thangs gives files as .stl or .3mf. Check the licence shown on the page, then upload the file here. We print it in the USA and mail it to you. We never download the file for you, and we do not sell prints of other people's Thangs models.

Thangs works like a search engine for 3D models: it holds its own uploads and also indexes designs hosted on other sites, so two model pages that look alike can actually come from different places. A model page there is still not a printer, so this is the rest of the way.
Get the file from Thangs yourself
On the model page, look for the Download button. Some models are free to anyone with a free account. Others are only available to members of a paid Thangs membership tier or to buyers of a paid file. Either way, that step happens on Thangs, not here.
Thangs gives files as .stl, as .3mf, or both, depending on what the uploader chose. Either one works here: an .stl is just the shape, and a .3mf can carry the shape plus some print settings.
Because Thangs indexes files from more than one source, the licence shown can trace back to the site the file first came from. We do not fetch this file for you. Downloading it yourself is also what lets you read the exact licence attached to that specific file before anything gets printed.
What the licence means for a personal print
Read the licence shown on the model page itself, since it can be a Creative Commons licence, a licence specific to Thangs, or the terms of whatever site the file originally came from. Creative Commons Attribution and Non Commercial licences both work fine for a print you keep or give as a gift, and Non Commercial simply means the part cannot be for something you plan to sell.
A model behind a paid membership or a paid file licenses you, the member or buyer, to print it for yourself. It does not licence you to hand the file to someone else.
This is the creator's decision, not ours. If a page is unclear about what is allowed, say so when you upload and a person looks at it with you.
