What it does
- Holds eight to twelve pens, pencils, or markers in the cavity.
- Open lattice. Prints without supports. Reads as sculpture, not novelty.
- 7 g of PLA. Sits well on a small desk corner.

- Ships in 3 to 5 business days. Free reprint if it arrives flawed.
A skull made of triangles, hollow in the middle, holding your pens. Half desk object, half art piece.
The trick is the open lattice. The skull has no solid mass. Instead the triangles weave together into a self-supporting frame. That keeps the print light, makes it print without support material, and lets pens drop into the cavity through every gap.
Original design by philnelson, licensed CC BY-SA for commercial print. About 7.0 g of PLA. Ships in 3 to 5 business days from our US printer network. Free reprint if it arrives flawed.
460k downloads in the maker community. That is interest in the design on the site it came from, not our sales.
What you get
- This design prints as one piece.
- Nothing else to print or buy for this to work.
What it is made of
Designs like this print well in PLA. Compare the materials.
Printed plastic is strong for its size, but it is not metal. We have not load tested this design, so we do not publish a weight rating. Keep it out of a hot car and away from open flame.
