Grow sprouts in a mason jar. This strainer lid screws onto a standard mason jar, so water drains while the sprouts breathe through the holes. The kind of small kitchen tool that turns a regular jar into a productive little garden.
Add seeds, soak overnight, drain through the lid, and rinse twice a day. In a few days you have fresh alfalfa, mung bean, or radish sprouts ready for sandwiches and salads. Wash with mild soap between batches.
