Twin rails on this small cap slide over the hot shoe on top of your Sony camera. It gives the metal channel a cover when you are not using a flash or mic.

The shape stops before the multi interface pins, so it sits over the hot shoe slot without reaching the contacts. It is cut to fit the A6000, A6300, A6500, and A7 hot shoe design.
