The mount attaches to molle or horizontal strapping and holds the radio in an open position. An L-shaped section along the bottom is shaped to block the battery from sliding free while the radio rides on your gear. Keep in mind the open design leaves the radio exposed to weather, and the screen light will show if your brightness is turned up.
