Turn your photo into a lithophane lamp
3D Prints Fast is a 3D printing service. We print your photo as a lithophane: a thin white shade that shows your picture when a light shines through it. Pick a photo, crop it, and see it lit up before you buy. Printed in the USA.

What is a lithophane lamp?
A lithophane is a thin white print with your photo carved into it. Thick parts block light and thin parts let it through. In daylight it looks like plain white plastic. Put a light behind it and your photo appears in soft shades of light and dark.
How it works
Step 1
Pick a photo
Choose a lamp shade, a flat panel or a curved panel. Crop your photo to fit.
Step 2
See it lit up
Turn the 3D preview with your finger. Flip the light on and off.
Step 3
We print it
We print it in white plastic in the USA and mail it to you.
Shapes, sizes and prices
One price for each size, for any normal photo. A very dark photo takes more plastic, so it costs a little more, and the maker tells you before you buy. Shipping is a flat $7.95 to US addresses.

What light should I use?
Use an LED light, like an LED tea light, a puck light or a cool LED bulb. Do not use a hot bulb, because heat can soften the plastic. The light is not included. We print the shade and you add the light.
Tips for a great photo
- Pick a bright photo with one clear subject.
- Crop in close on faces. A face should fill most of the shape.
- For a lamp shade, a wide photo looks best, since it wraps all the way around. Or tick "Show the whole photo".
- Turn the light on in the preview. If it looks too dark there, it will look dark in real life too.
Your photo, your rights
Send a photo you took, or one you have permission to use. Please no photos of famous people, and no logos or cartoon characters that belong to someone else. We may turn down a photo that breaks these rules. To report a photo, see our takedown policy.
Questions
Can I pick a color?
We print lithophanes in white only. White lets the most light through, so your photo shows best.
What makes a good photo?
A bright photo with a clear subject works best: a face up close, a pet, or a place with strong light and shadow. Very dark photos come out dark, and tiny details can blur.
Do I get the 3D file?
No. We print your lithophane and mail it to you. We do not sell the file.
What happens to my photo?
Your photo stays on your device while you crop it. When you order, we get only the light and dark of the cropped picture, which we use to print it. We delete the print file about 60 days after your order ships, like every file you upload.
