Can someone print an STL for me?

Yes, someone can print your file for you. That is the whole idea behind an online print service, and it is a real business, not a favor from a stranger's garage printer. Here is exactly what happens when you send us your file.

What we ask before we print anything

Before you check out, you confirm one thing: you own the design, or you have permission to print it. We save the exact words you were shown and the date, so nobody has to guess later what was agreed to.

If you are not sure whether you are allowed to have a design printed, there is a box for that too. Ticking it sends your file to a person, who looks at it with you before anything runs on a printer.

What happens to your file

We use your file to print your order and nothing else. We do not sell it, hand it to another customer, or add it to our shop. It sits under a private address that is not published or searchable, and a machine deletes it about 60 days after your order ships, or 60 days after upload if you never order. You can ask us to delete it sooner any time.

1. Step 1

   Upload your file

   Drop your .stl or .3mf into the upload tool. You see a price right away, based on the real size of your part.

2. Step 2

   Confirm you are allowed to print it

   Tick the box confirming you own the design or have permission, or the not sure box if you want a person to check first.

3. Step 3

   Pick your color and material

   Choose PLA or PETG and a color. The materials page explains the difference in plain words.

4. Step 4

   Check out

   Pay, and your file goes to print. A flat shipping charge covers the whole order, however many parts are in it.

5. Step 5

   Get your tracking number

   Once it ships, you get a tracking email. It ships from the US facility that printed it.

Is there a 3D printing service near me that can just print my file?

You can check a local library or makerspace, or skip the search and upload your file to an online service like ours. We print it in the USA and mail it to you, so it does not matter where you live.

Do you look at my file before you print it?

Every upload runs past a check. If something looks like it might not be allowed, a person looks at it before it prints.

What happens to my file after the order ships?

It is deleted about 60 days after your order ships. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Do I need a slicer or any software?

No. Upload the file as is. We handle the printer settings on our end.

Can you print something I designed myself?

Yes. Upload it the same way. You already have permission, since it is your own design.
