You upgrade the Z-axis endstop and the LED gives you a clear visual cue when the switch triggers. This holder clips onto the 8 mm smooth rod on the motor side of the Z-axis, fitting Prusa i3 variants including the P3Steel.

The Makerbot-style endstop with LED makes calibration faster, since you can see exactly when the switch fires while you adjust the Z-stop. Use the OpenSCAD source if you want to customize the holder for a slightly different endstop or rod size.
